550th Birthday Celebrations: Pakistan sends invitation for religious procession to be taken out from Delhi to Nankana Sahib

NEW DELHI, India—Latest developments reveal that the Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) has been sent an official letter by the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee inviting the Sikh sangat for religious procession to be taken out from Delhi to Nankana Sahib in commemoration of the 550th birthday celebrations.

Sharing the development with media, the SAD (Delhi) president Paramjit Singh Sarna informed that although the Pakistan government had given nod for this religious procession much earlier, but the official letter signed by the PSGPC president Tara Singh has been received now.

He further informed that this religious procession will begin from Gurdwara Bangla Sahib (Delhi) on October 28 and will conclude at Gurdwara Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib on October 31. “Around 1500 devotees will accompany the golden palanquin enshrining the holy corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji during this religious procession,” he added.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that this religious procession will have night stays in Ludhiana, Sultanpur Lodhi and Amritsar Sahib on October 28, 29 and 30 respectively.
