CHANDIGARH, Punjab—On June 18, the 424th birth anniversary of the sixth Sikh master was celebrated with full religious fervor at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Gurdwara Sri Bibeksar Sahib and other historic Sikh shrines.
On this auspicious day, thousands of Sikh devotees received blessings of Guru Sahib by taking a holy dip in the sacred sarovars of Sikh shrines and by paying obeisance while listening the divine Gurbani Kirtan.
Like every year, a Gurmat Samagam was held at Gurdwara Bibeksar Sahib in which the famous Raagi Jathas of Bhai Amandeep Singh, Bhai Mandeep Singh, Bhai Pritpal Singh, Bhai Gagandeep Singh Sri Ganga Nagar, Bhai Jatinder Pal Singh, Bhai Guriqbal Singh, Bhai Gurdev Singh , Bhai Harvinderpal Singh Little, Bhai Manmohan Singh, Bhai Narinder Singh, Bibi Paramjit Kaur, Bhai Sukhwinder Singh delighted the Sikh sangat with Gurbani Kirtan. Bhai Nirmal Singh Jethwala addressed the Sikh history.
Before this, the bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib was laid. Prominent religious and social figures and large number of Sikh sangat attended this program.
On this occasion, a beautiful and fascinating lighting event was organized at Sri Harmandir Sahib and Gurdwara Sri Bibeksar Sahib.
