CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Every year, the management committee of Sri Hemkunt Sahib specially prepares the “Pinni Prasad” for the pilgrims thronging into this historic Sikh shrine from various corners of the world. The preparation of this “Pinni Prasad” begins almost 15 days before the arrival of pilgrims every year.
Sharing the information with media, the Manager of Gurdwara Gobindghat Bhai Sewa Singh informed that more than 20,000 packets “Pinni Prasad” are prepared daily.
Bhai Sewa Singh further informed that the management committee has started using the organic packets for this “Pinni Prasad” so that the environment could be saved from pollution being caused by the plastic bags.
