TARN TARAN SAHIB, Punjab—Observing the poll days as an exactly suitable environment to torpedo Karam Singh Bhoian’s peaceful struggle, the Kaar Sewa sect headed by Baba Jagtar Singh has pushed its supporters to lodge complaint against Karam Singh Bhoian and other Sikh activists demanding their indictment under defamation charges.
The supporters of Baba Jagtar Singh today submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner and the SSP Tarn Taran seeking indictment of Karam Singh Bhoian, Raagi Bhai Baldev Singh Wadala, Sikh activists Pritpal Singh Amritsar, Amrik Singh Nangal etc. under defamation charges for burning the effigies of Baba Jagtar Singh.
Interestingly, the supporters of Baba Jagtar Singh also tried to challenge the historic importance of the demolished Darshani Deodi by saying that it was not the antique one.
Threatening the administration of an untoward incident, the supporters of Baba Jagtar Singh have challenged the Sikh community to prove antiquity of the demolished Darshani Deodi of Gurdwara Sri Tarn Taran Sahib.
It may be recalled here that the historic Darshani Deodi of Gurdwara Sri Tarn Taran Sahib was demolished by the Kaar Sewa sect headed by Baba Jagtar Singh during the intervening night of March 30 and 31. Initially, the SGPC had played a high pitched drama of lodging a police complaint against Baba Jagtar Singh but later the mutual understanding between the duo had exposed with the release of a video of the secret meeting.
SAD (Amritsar) leader Karam Singh Bhoian has been sitting on strike beneath the demolished Darshani Deodi since April 1 seeking indictment of the demolishers but the administration didn’t take any action against the demolishers despite repeated complaints by the Sikh masses.
Meanwhile, it is also learnt that Baba Jagtar Singh is using his influence to get signatures of the nearby village heads on a pre-typed complaint to be lodged against Karam Singh Bhoian.
