AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has released the result of annual religious examination it takes every year to encourage students toward Sikhism. As per the data shared by SGPC, 53034 students undergo through this examination in November-2018 and January 2019.
Interacting with media while releasing the result, the SGPC’s chief secretary Dr. Roop Singh informed that the Religious Preachment Wing of SGPC conducts religious examination every year to promote Sikhism. “Thousands of school and college students undergo through this examination every year,” he said while adding that the merit holders are rewarded with special scholarship.
Dr. Roop Singh further informed that 1236 out of the total 53034 students have been listed as merit holders. “Outstanding students will be honored with medals also,” he added.
