Punjab government is shielding demolishers of Darshani Deodi, says Karam Singh Bhoian

TARN TARAN SAHIB, Punjab—The peaceful sit-in-strike of Sikh leader S. Karam Singh Bhoian seeking action against the SGPC officials and the Kaar Sewa sect Baba Jagtar Singh for demolishing the historic Darshani Deodi today completed 10 days. Several Sikhs from distant areas of Punjab extended support to his struggle by personally paying a visit to him beneath the historic Darshani Deodi of Gurdwara Sri Tarn Taran Sahib.

Speaking to Sikh24, S. Karam Singh Bhoian accused the Punjab administration of depicting a biased behavior on this issue. He said that there is no indictment of the SGPC officials and the Kaar Sewa sect men indulged in demolishing the historic Darshani Deodi despite repeated complaints by the Sikhs.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that the supporters of Baba Jagtar Singh are continuously making attempts to attack S. Karam Singh Bhoian and his supporters by entangling them in argumentation, but the Tarn Taran police is not stock of the situation despite repeated submissions of complaints in written. An untoward incident might occur at any time if the Administration doesn’t deploy sufficient police force at the main entrance gate of historic Sikh shrine Gurdwara Sri Tarn Taran Sahib.
