Take Action Against Sacrilege Culprits or Get Ready to Face Protests, Five Member Committee to Punjab Government

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—The Five member committee appointed by the Sarbat Khalsa appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara has served an ultimatum to the Punjab government asking it to take action against the sacrilege culprits by February 15 or remain ready to face Sikh wrath. The committee has also demanded release of political Sikh prisoners and shifting of those Sikh prisoners to Punjab who are languishing in the jails of other states.

Interacting with the media, the committee members Prof. Baljinder Singh Morjand and Bhai Narain Singh Chaura said that if the Punjab government doesn’t take any action against the sacrilege culprits then they would start staging protests outside the statewide jails.

It is pertinent to note here that the Sarbat Khalsa appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara had constituted a five member committee to revive the Bargari agitation. The committee’s constitution was gesture against Bhai Dhian Singh Mand’s decision of concluding the agitation at an inconclusive stage.
