:dateline:On February 6, the Sarbat Khalsa appointed acting Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Dhian Singh Mand announced to field Panthik candidates in the upcoming Parliamentary polls under the banner of the Bargari Insaaf Morcha. Interestingly, he termed it as the second phase of the Bargari Insaaf Morcha.
Interacting with media in Bathinda, Bhai Dhian Singh Mand announced the names of candidates for four Parliamentary seats of Punjab. He added that they have constituted a three member panel to hold talks with the newly constituted SAD (Taksali) and Punjabi Ekta Party (PEP) so that the customary SAD (Badal) and Congress could be cornered in Punjab.

Mand claimed that there was no rift between him and Takht Damdama Sahib Jathedar Baljit Singh Daduwal and expressed hope that he would join them soon. He denied the charge that they ended the first phase of the Bargari agitation in haste, claiming that they had achieved their objective.
