352nd Birth Anniversary: Religious Procession taken out in Amritsar Sahib

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—A religious procession commemorated to the 352nd martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji was taken out in Amritsar Sahib on January 12 under the patronage of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and leadership of Punj Piares. Head Granthi Singh Sahib Giani Sukhjinder Singh performed the sewa of chaur in the palanquin decorated with flowers.

Starting from the supreme Sikh throne Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the religious procession concluded back at Sri Akal Takht Sahib after traversing through Sri Guru Ram Dass Niwas, Brahm Buta Market, Chowk Ghanta Ghar, Bazaar Mai Sewa, Bazaar Kathiaan, Bazaar Papdaan, Bazaar Basaan, Chowk Chhatti Khoohi, Chawal Mandi, Kanak Mandi, Dhaab Vasti Ram, Chowk Chintpurni, Jauda Pippal, Chowk Chabootra, Chowk Jai Singh, Chowk Moni, Chowk Karodi, Chowk Baba Sahib, Chowk Pragdas etc. localities.

Singh Sahib Giani Sukhjinder Singh said on this occasion that the tenth Sikh master Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji devoted his whole life towards truthfulness, justice and defending the religious faith. He appealed the Sikh community to take inspiration from the life of Guru Sahib and live life on the path enlightened by him.
