SGPC Takes On Sarna for Demanding Status of Sixth Throne for Sri Nankana Sahib

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Taking strong notice of SAD (Delhi) president Paramjit Singh Sarna’s statement demanding the status of sixth throne for Gurdwara Janam Asthan Sri Nankana Sahib, the SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal has said that Sarna is trying to create perplexity among Sikh community. He has advised Paramjit Singh Sarna to refrain from such mischievous acts as now the entire Sikh community is making preparations for globally celebrating the 550th birthday of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

Longowal has said that no one in this universe possesses any right to change the great Sikh traditions. He added that the respect for Gurdwara Janam Asthan Sri Nankana Sahib is on top in the hearts of worldwide Sikh masses but it doesn’t mean that we should now start changing the Sikh traditions.

Terming the statement by Paramjit Singh Sarna as an attempt to divide Sikh community, Longowal has appealed the Sikh masses to remain vigilant of such attempts by mischievous elements.
