:dateline:Contrary to the expectations among Congress ranks and Sikh community, the former Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal has decided to appear before the Punjab government appointed Special Investigation Team. Notably, the SIT had summoned the Ex-CM of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal, Ex-Deputy CM of Punjab Sukhbir Singh and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar on November 11 seeking their appearance on November 16, November 19 and November 21 respectively.
Although, the Shiromani Akali Dal had earlier refused to turn up before the Justice Ranjit Singh led Investigation Commission but now the party patriarch has decided to appear before the SIT so that SAD rivals couldn�t succeed in creating a public impression that the SAD was trying to hide something. The party has already faced the public ire for its failure to unearth the conspiracy behind the incidents.
