:dateline:As per latest developments, the SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal has again selected Gobind Singh Longowal to head the apex Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee. Longowal was first time selected to head the apex Sikh body last year’s general house meeting on November 29, 2017.��
Similarly, Raghujit Sngh Virk has been also reappointed as the senior vice president and Gurbachan Singh Karmuwala is retained as general secretary of the SGPC.
Bikkar Singh Channo is the new face in SGPC’s executive who has been appointed as junior vice president.

It is learnt that some SGPC members headed by Sukhdev Singh Bhaur boycotted the general house meeting when the name of Gobind Singh Longowal was proposed. They left the venue by saying that they were supporting the Sikh people staging stir at Bargari demanding arrest of culprits accountable for sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib.
