If A Tea Seller Could Become PM Then Why Couldn’t My Son Succeed in Business, says Giani Gurbachan Singh

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Reacting to the allegations leveled by Congress legislator Harminder Singh Gill in the Punjab assembly on August 28, the SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh has said that if a Tea seller could become a Prime Minister of India or an ordinary preacher could become a President of India or a son of Priest could become an SGPC President, then why couldn’t a son of Akal Takht Jathedar succeed in Business.

Notably, the Congress legislator Harminder Singh Gill had raised questions over the quick success of Giani Gurbachan Singh’s son in the business of Hotel and cattle slaughtering during Akali regime.

Refuting the allegations, Giani Gurbachan Singh claimed that his son has erected his business through hard struggle. He added that his son could even legally sue the elements leveling false allegations against him.

On being questioned about celebrating the 550th birthday of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in collaboration with Punjab government, Giani Gurbachan Singh said that all the programs will be chalked out by the SGPC president, but a Taalmel Committee is required to erase the communication gap between countryside and foreign Sikh bodies willing to celebrate the eve.
