Ludhiana Court Seeks Medical Report of Sikh Youths Thrashed in Ludhiana Jail

LUDHIANA—On the complaint of Universal Human Rights Organization, the Additional Session Judge of Ludhiana Mr. Atul Kasana has sought medical report of five Sikh youths who were brutally thrashed by the Jail authorities on June 22. Notably, all of them were brutally beaten up by the Jail authorities to avenge punishment given by these youths to the Bachhaudi sacrilege culprit.

It is learnt that the UHRO President Satnam Singh Dhaliwal, Organizing Secretary Ravinder Singh Waraich and Joint Secretary Advocate Komal Sharma made complaint in this concern by personally appearing before the Court of Additional Session Judge Atul Kasana.

The UHRO activists told the Court that responsibility of securing detainees and convicts in prison lies on the Jail Superintendent but he is not serving his duty properly. They further said that the incidents of violence in Ludhiana jail are continuously coming to fore as the Jail Superintendent is not serving his duty properly.

Meanwhile, the UHRO has announced to follow up the legal proceedings of the case registered against five Sikh youths for punishing the Bachhaudi sacrilege culprit.
