AMRITSAR SAHIB—Expressing deep concern over side-lining of Sikh history from XII class syllabus by the Punjab School Education Board, the SGPC president S. Gobind Singh Longowal has held the Punjab government responsible for this. He has asked the Punjab government to apologize for this serious mistake.
Asking the Punjab government not to forget the great Sikh history, Longowal has said that imagination of Punjab without Sikh history is impossible. He added that the responsibility to apprise Punjab youth with great Sikh history lies on Punjab government so it should refrain from making serious mistake of detaching Punjab youth from Sikh history.
Taking on the Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh for favouring revised book of history, Longowal said that this step of Punjab government has once again exposed its anti-Sikhism approach. Seeking immediate ban on the revised book implemented by the PSEB for class XII, he has asked the Punjab government to tender an apology to Sikh masses.
