Arms & Ammunition Recovery Case: Ludhiana Court to Address Punishment to Jathedar Hawara on May 8

:dateline:In a case pertaining to recovery of an AK-56 rifle along with 50 cartridges, the Akal Takht Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara will be addressed quantum of sentence by the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Ludhiana Sessions Court. Notably, Jathedar Hawara was held guilty in this case on April 9 by the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC) Varinder Kumar.

The JMIC Varinder Kumar had transferred the matter to Chief Judicial Magistrate on April 9 as he was constrained to sentence Jathedar Hawara maximum up to three years. �

Hearing on this case was conducted in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Jaapinder Singh on April 27 who announced to address the quantum of sentence to Jathedar Hawara on May 8.

Speculations are being made that maximum seven years sentence might be addressed Jathedar Hawara under section 25 of Arms & Ammunition act, which will get cancelled against imprisonment that he has already served.
