Four Guru Granth Sahib Bodies Burnt in Fire Near Chandigarh

LALRU—News of an unfortunate incident of the burning of four corpuses of Sri Guru Granth Sahib at a Gurdwara Sahib in the village of Dehar, in Lalru, has come to fore. It is learnt that the fire originated due to a short circuit in electric wiring.

Sources have revealed that the incident occured at around 1:30 am on May 14 when a cleaner of  the Gurdwara Sahib went earlier to the Gurdwara Sahib due to it being the first day of the month of ‘Jeth’. She saw smoke originating from the main darbar of the Gurdwara Sahib and immediately informed the management committee’s former president, Kuldeep Singh, who in turn called nearby villagers and the fire brigade.

Eye-witnesses say that the villagers immediately started working to control the fire by spraying water with the help of buckets. Later, two fire brigade units arrived within a short time and the fire was under control by 3 am.

Speculations are being made that the fire originated from a short-circuit in the air conditioning unit which was installed in the ‘Sukh Assan’ (area of rest), in which four sacred corpuses of Sri Guru Granth Sahib were rested.

  1. If the sikh 24 doesn’t find an English word for “Saroop” they can use gurmukhi word saroop & any explanation in brackets.

  2. Wake up SGPC & Sikh jathebandies, you should announce any Gurdwara who can not afford a sewadar for 24 hrs should be closed, the people of this country have gone mad like mad dogs & don’t understand what they are doing. How you people sleep? You people can’t find a solution? Sit together, find a solution, make a code for gurdwaras about sewadars & buildings of gurdwaras, without the permission & inspection of SGPC, no gurdwara should be opened. Management should be fully responsible for beadbies. Find out the solution…….

  3. What is surprising is that short-circuit as they call it always happens where Guru Granth Sahib Ji is? why not elsewhere and it happens repeatedly time after time….. are we being fooled by the enemy. After all the beadbis that have gone on – does no one learn to stay with Guru Ji at all times. If either one of our 10 Gurus were here in body form would we leave them by themselves and this is our 11th living Guru and so called committees just leave it in the Gurdwaras as a book. Shame on the so called in charge of theses gurdwaras and the sangat not ensuring the safety of our Guru Ji. So sad when are these people going to learn?

  4. The Guru Granth Sahib is our holy book. Bodies are not the holy book. Your ‘report’
    Is highly confusing and misleading
