:dateline:Taking a move towards going green, theSan Jose Gurdwara management committee has installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. SJ Gurdwara is first in North America to have EV charging outlets.
San Jose Gurdwara has taken previous initiatives to cut carbon emissions. It is already operating entirely on solar energy. Now, installation of EV charging stations isa major initiative to promote electric vehicles.
EV charging stations will be provided free of cost tocommunity members and visitors.
A special event was organized by the management to launch the charging stations, in which San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo and Councilwoman Sylvia Arenasattended and appreciated efforts by the committee.
As an EVangel who has promoted EV use since 1990, I follow the news wires and have seen many houses of worship provide EV charging (EVSE). I am glad to read the Sikh community offers public EVSE. I see the EVSE has already been wisely added to plugshare.com (the free tool plugin drivers use)

Note: Better wording of:
>SJ Gurdwara is first in North America to have EV charging outlets.<
might have been
SJ Gurdwara is the first Gurdwara (Sikh temple) in North America to have EV charging.
