PHAGWARA, Punjab—There appears to be no end to Sikh political figures being arrested as Rajinder Singh (Fauji) of Phagwara has his home raided at midnight last night. He was taken away with no explanation to his family.
Rajinder Singh is the regional executive of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), the party of Simranjit Singh Mann.
With no presentation of a warrant, Rajinder Singh was taken away by SP of Phagwara, Harminder Sandhu. The family are worried as no information is being shared by the police.
Numerous Sikh activists and politicians have been repeatedly arrested in the last few weeks. The Punjab police seems to operate with impunity as the Punjab government continues to commit atrocities on it’s people.
