The reports about the detention of Interim Jathedar Dhian Singh Mand are unclear but it has come to fore that the police have raided his home.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the President of Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwala Bhai Balwant Singh Gopala was also taken into custody by the Punjab police. Vice-President of SYFB Bhai Ranjit Singh Damdami Taksal toldSikh24 that Bhai Gopala was also released by the Police.
Also in future we will have to cater for Sikhs living in distant planets, galaxies and universes.
How do you propose to link them then.
I have already explained the Sarbat Khalsa is held in Punjab because Punjab is ancestral homeland adn heartland of the SIkhs. It will always host the majority population of SIkhs no matter how many NRI Sikhs there are. The NRI SIkhs themselves are mostly all Punjabis anyway so have familial connection to Punjab as well so are capable through websites and forums and Gurdwaras as well as physically attending themsleves to make their opinions known (as they have done with keeping the 1984 genocide to the fore). The majority of Sikh population will always reside in Punjab because the population of humans that will colonise moon and mars will be a tiny fraction. There is ZERO possibility of colonising distant planets let alone galaxies and you just reveal your desperate ignorance of scientific principles (limits of travel in regards to speed of light) by repeated harping upon diverting attention to the cosmos. Concentrate on the here and now and this precious earth.
So by your statement .
Sarbatt Khalsa is not possible in today’s time with our global spread.
So what should be a way out to RESURRECT Sarbatt Khalsa in today’s time.
You are either being deliberately obtuse or genuinely cannot understand simple concepts. So I will explain again. The Sarbat Khalsa has never throughout its centuries of use ever been able to claim that it has a majority of the Sikh population attending its gatherings because it has ALWAYS been impracticable in history for a majority of Sikhs let alone all of them to physically gather in one place at one time. That does not negate the legitimacy of the Sarbat Khalsa – which has only ever been held in Punjab one at a time so there have never been multiple Sarbat Khalsas let alone ones taking place abroad. The reason why they take place in Punjab is because Punjab is the Sikh ancestral homeland and heartland hosting the majority of Sikh population in the world. You are a great supporter of President-elect Trump but he has neither the majority vote of the American population (as USA does not have mandatory law forcing all citizens to vote) nor does he have the majority of the popular vote (majority of the votes actually cast) and has won the presidency like his predecessor George W Bush based on convoluted electoral college system. Does the fact that he does not have either majority of American vote (popular and actual) negate his mandate? Of course not because that is how their system of governance works. It is the same with the Sarbat Khalsa where only a sufficient critical mass is required for proportional representation to come into effect as Sikhs believe that when five Gursikhs are gathered the spirit of Guru Gobind Singh Ji is with them and at a sarbat khalsa you have tens of thousands of such Gursikhs so obviously his influence is even greater conferring legitimacy on decisions reached which again are done so democratically. Compare the rallies the Badals have arranged for their Akali Badal where they have bussed in supporters for the cameras to give them some claim to legitimately representing Sikhs – they managed a paltry few hundreds. Compare and contrast that with the tens of thousands who have tried despite massive police obstruction, media blackout and refusal of visa and arrests of NRI SIkhs to attend the Sarbat Khalsa both in 2015 and 2016. The will of the Sikh Panth is evident and is the reason why the Badals, alarmed by popular dissent amongst the Sikhs who they have told central government are under their control, tried by hook and crook to prevent the recent Sarbat Khalsa which decided to excommunicate them. The legitimacy of the Sarbat Khalsa which has been established for centuries cannot be held hostage by people like you are who antipathetic to Sikhi – you could easily state oh, it is not legitimate because not all Sikhs have attended or registered their opinion at the same time you are torturing Sikh prisoners who you would never give the right to attend or communicate their views. If Sikhs genuinely did not want to express the will of the ISkh Panth in their sarbat khalsa then let them gather freely and see how many attend. You won’t because you know full well it becomes irresistible and undeniable when tens of thousands of Sikhs turn up despite hardships of travel to express a common opinion which you want to control through your puppet Badals and corrupted SGPC.
Let us see how it works hypothetically
So if 5 Sikhs carry out a Sarbatt Khalsa in US ,UK or Dubai then it becomes applicable for all of us.
There elected Jathedars also become our Jathedars..
Is this correct.
Let me try to explain it to you again. When ‘Sikhs’ claiming to represent Sikhi’s best interest start to exhibit antithetical and indeed heretical behaviour (handing out free pardons to the likes of Ram rahim, punishing their employees for not giving saropas to the likes of Badals, rejecting the authority of panj pyare and the doctrine of Miri Piri etc) they are no longer fit to hold office. In the past these people who had control of Gurdwaras golaks and had the ear of the British overlords who chose to acknowledge them as official representtives of Sikh kaum (think of High Priest Caiphas and the Jewish priesthood sanhedrin and Herod as nominal king of the Jewish state) they were called mahants. The SGPC was created by a sarbat Khalsa – a mass gathering of the sikh sangat – in order to overthrow these mahants and stop the antithetical practices. Those same practices have returned under the auspices of the SGPC and Akali Badal party who are no longer serving Sikhi’s interests. A mass gathering of Sikhs which they have tried to repeatedly prevent has tried to express the will and opinion of the Sikh kaum. You say (because you have managed to disrupt the Sarbat Khalsa by intimidation, harrassment and arrests) not enough Sikhs have gathered to make any decisions taken to be legitimate trying to equate the Sarbat Khalsa with some electoral system. That is not how the Sarbat Khalsa works or has ever worked because Sikhs as now could not in the past all gather together either. The sarbat Khalsa in India did not just have 5 SIkhs in it but had thousands gathering and being prevented form attending with Sikhs coming from abroad being arrested and detained bizarrely for sedition. I have never voted for or ever been given the vote to elect the jathedars that the Badals have installed through their control of the SGPC or indeed even the members of the SGPC so you cannot claim somehow they have an electoral mandate. They do not. All Sikhs serve at the behest of the kaum and when that faith is betrayed – and the instances of that are so numerous now – they are swept aside because Sikhi is a totally roots driven kaum who do do not submit obessiance to any so called leaders as we recognise only the authority of our Guru. If 5 Gursikhs – and this is key, I did not use your wording Sikh as you do not comprehend what that actually means as you must look and also behave like a pious Sikh – gather together Guru Gobind Singh Ji is in spirit with them. So if at a Sarbat Khalsa you have thousands of such Gursikhs gathered together naturally that legitimacy is increased which is why you have repeatedly called for individual sarbat khalsas to be held all around the world and away form Punjab. Sarbat Khalsa only happens and has only ever happened historically in one place so you cannot have mini sarbat khalsas all around the world which of course would help your cause no end.
Yes we don’t want a coup or rebel Jathedars from a minority Sarbatt Khalsa.
We want our Jathedars to be elected by Sikh majority and .not minority of Sikhs.
Jathedars have NEVER been elected by Sikh Majority. None of the SGPC have been voted for by the Sikh majority – they are all appointees who have singularly demonstrated antithetical behaviour which has resulted in the Sikh masses as represented in the Sarbat Khalsa – which is the traditional means of sangat expressing its opinion over centuries – denouncing them. The SGPC with its control of jathedars is a man made institution of the early 20th century when SIkhs started objecting to the heretical behaviours of custodians of the faith – mahants as they were then – systematically being subservient to British rule. And when you talk of minority of SIkhs let me tell you Guru Gobind Singh Ji himself told Sikhs that when five Gursikhs gather in any place then He himself is present in spirit with them. The Sarbat Khalsa therefore only needs five such Panj Pyare to reach that threshold of legitimacy which is why your friends the Badals did all they could to stop the Sarbat Khalsa from happening. They have now been excommunicated from the panth. As you are not as Sikh you need stop trying to impose both your heretical views and bogus systems of governance which fly against Sikh theology and historical precedent.
What type of democratic free country where the police can arrest anybody without any crime & criminals are free to commit any crime with the directions of ruling party.
You said it. It is called democracy Indian style.
what jathedars??These are not the current jathedars. So why confuse with such news .These are hopefuls, chosen by a small section of Sikhs gathered for so called sarbat khalsa
Instead of taking control of SGPC these are cowboys all over the place, making a mess of issues.
‘GSingh’ now is it, Harish? Do you really want me to publicly humiliate you and expose you for the fake that you are? Easily done as you are so lazy you know nothing about Sikhi and can be easily exposed for the apologists that you are.
i agree they are trying to stage a coup in Punjab , Sarbatt Khalsa under the orders of Empire.
This time we will not allow Punjab to return to 1980-1990 era when they had a free run with there Gun culture and got us into a Op- Blue star and a Genocide.
The state govt must keep law and order in the state as per the constitution of India.
GSingh / Harinder / Harish Sharma – come on just use one name instead of trying to pretend there are lots of you. You hate the Sikhs and bless their murderers so your mantra is as much use here as telling us about flying talking monkey kings on rescue missions to save princesses from multi headed demons.
Peace in Punjab will be maintained at all cost.
We will not allow illegal activities .
Lord Ram is Truth and shall always remain True.
All people of Punjab will live peacefully as good neighbours, brother and sisters.
No going back to fanatical world.
At all cost? You mean you will maintain ‘peace’ by killing the people? Lord Ram does not exist, has never existed (there is zero evidence) and is nothing more than a fictional mythological conjuring of human imagination to try and fill the spiritual yearning in primitive man.
No killings but peace is not going to compromised on.
Lord Ram is true and shall always remain so.
Well if you will insist on believing in flying talking monkey kings on rescue missions to rescue princesses from multi-headed demons then I suppose ‘Lord Ram’ won’t test your credulity. Each to his own but the Sikhs dispensed with such myths centuries ago.
