ਅਗਮ ਪੁਰੇ (agam pure) |

Message: Is there a city beyond our reach or a physical abode of the Divine? The reference ‘unreachable’ or ‘beyond the reach of sensory organs’ in itself is a hint that this place is not a physical abode which one can reach physically. It’s an inner state of awareness or enlightenment of the mind. We can reach this place or stage within by practising truth, self-control, and by acquiring virtues and applying them in our life. In other words, what is required is that we need to lead our life in accordance with the teachings of the Guru. In this way, we reach the home of the spirit or self (self-realisation), which in fact is the home of the Divine in our own being. We thus find the treasure of all virtues – the Supreme Master. Etymology: Compound of agam (unapproachable, inaccessible), from Sanskrit agamya, and pure (town, city), from Prakrit puraa, from Sanskrit pur. |
