Interacting with media on this occasion, Sucha Singh Chhotepur said that it was very unfortunate that his own brothers conspired against him and blotted his 40 years old clean political carrier. “But with the grace of Guru Ram Das Ji I have got a new life with the support of Punjab masses, media and intellectuals.” he added.

He said that he worked day & night to erect AAP infrastructure in Punjab but in return he has been “rewarded with allegations of corruption”.  “Due to recent events, we will start meeting supporters across Punjab from September 6 and any decision regarding future course of action will be taken following the consultation with common AAP volunteers,” he said.

Commenting on the upcoming Navjot Sidhu led fourth political front in Punjab, Chhotepur said that India was a democratic country and every citizen has right to exercise his/her democratic rights.  He sharply criticized the MP Bhagwant Mann for misbehaving with media and using objectionable language against some journalists.

Harinder-Singh-KhalsaMeanwhile, Member Parliament of Fatehgarh Sahib Harinder Singh Khalsa, who had contested election on AAP ticket but was later was sacked from party, has suggested Chhotepur not to bow before AAP’s National Convener Arvind Kejriwal.  He has said that the National leadership of AAP doesn’t tolerate Punjabis especially Sikh faces in the party’s top posts. Pointing towards Kejriwal’s upcoming Punjab visit, Khalsa said that it was a golden chance for Chhotepur to avenge for the exploitation he had to face due to UP and Delhi based AAP leaders.
