LUDHIANA, Punjab—Vice-President of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat’s Punjab Unit Brigadier, Jagdish Gagneja was shifted to Hero DMC Hospital in Ludhiana following his critical condition. On August 7, doctor’s recommended that Gagneja will find much needed treatment at DMCH.
Jagdish Gagneja was reportedly shot at in Jalandhar in the evening hours of August 6. Two motor-cycle borne assailants reportedly halted him and shot at him. The assailants fired three bullets on him that hit him in the Chest and Stomach.
At the DMCH, Jagdish Gagneja has been put on ventilator and inotropes (medicines that change the force of heart’s contractions). Sikh24 has learnt that two out of the three bullets were removed by the doctors while one bullet is still residing within liver of Gagneja’s body. Doctors have said that they can operate to remove bullet from Gagneja’s body only after his condition stabilizes.
Meanwhile, DGP Suresh Arora has claimed that the police have obtained clues about the attackers and that they will be nabbed soon. However, he refused to speculate anything at this point until investigations are over. He informed that the security of RSS leaders and those of other radical Hindu organizations has been beefed up across the state.
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Badal reached the Hero DMC Hospital in Ludhiana also today, and met the doctors. He strongly condemned the attack and stated that such attacks could disturb Punjab’s harmony.
Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal also paid visit to Hero DMC Hospital to inquire about the physical well-being of Jagdish Gagneja. Sukhbir Badal said that 10 teams have been organized to probe into the attack and the responsible culprits would be behind bars soon.
Meanwhile, , Dr. Navjot K. Sidhu (wife of former MP Navjot Sidhu) alleged that the attack was orchestrated by the Punjab government. She demanded CBI-probe into the case and she said that they have lost faith in Punjab police as it always proved unsuccessful in maintaining law & order in the state.
On August 6, Brigadier Jagdish Gagneja was along with his wife after shopping in Red Cross market at around 9 pm. He stopped his car to attend a call near busy Jyoti Chowk market. When he was returning towards his car, two assailants with masked faces opened fire on him. After firing three bullets in his chest and stomach, the assailants also fired bullets in the air and left the spot. Injured Brigadier Jagdish Gagneja was immediately rushed to local Patel Hospital of Jalandhar.
Well there you have it RSS agents….. can you wriggle out this one.

This targeted killing is a trap to start a civil war in Punjab like the one Shia- Sunni are doing in Iraq and Syria.
Learn to peacefully co exist with your neighbours or the Empire will turn Punjab into another Iraq and Syria.
In any case Indian Punjab is unfit to live as its water now contains the carcinogen Uranium.
If we are not capable of building new Punjabs in different parts of Universe then we are doomed.

Bapu Surat Singh is an INNOCENT INDIVIDUAL! He has never been convicted of let alone arrested for any criminal charge. He is using his democratic right to peacefully protest – fasting which Mahatma Gandhi himself validated as being legitimate protest against unjust laws – and highlight the FACT that Sikh prisoners are still being held in prisons after their sentences have long been served. Don’t you understand the concept of jurisprudence or is it that you feel justice should be denied to Sikhs for just being Sikhs? Punjab belongs to all its resident but the Sikhs are the majority. That gives us the democratic mandate to determine its future reinforced by our historical and cultural connection. Remember Punjabi Muslims seceded in 1947 and Punjabi Hindus did the same in the 1966 referendum to form Haryana and forsook Punjabi as their mother tongue. IN regards to the Khalsa Raj of Ranjit SIngh – the most prosperous and egalitarian period of governance in Punjab’s history (Hindu Dogras in post as Prime Minister and Muslims as chancellor of the exchequer) – which you are so eager for Sikhs to forget I would merely remind readers of Dalhousie’s despatch to the Secret Committee of the East India Company on 7 April, 1849 where he wrote “We must resolve on the entire subjection of the Sikh people and on its extinction as an independent nation.” You are of like mind precisely because Sikhi insists on fair and equal treatment to all people whether they are SIkh or not – go to your Gurdwara and see every human no matter their supposed caste sitting together with no favoured chair or position on the floor eating together, yes even including my brother Dalit. If India was truly a secular nation then how do you explain that since its formation it has been riven with communal riots and genocides. The constitution of the country is supposed to respect and protects the rights of its peoples to practise whatever religion they want without fear or favour. You make a mockery of the sacrifices true Indian patriots made for the creation of my country. It is you who should learn to peacefully co exist with your neighbours – start eating from the same plate of the Dalit and stop your RSS vigilantes from murdering those who want to eat beef for a start. And you should not be so proud you have polluted Punjab with Uranium as the Punjab produced the jawans that gave you liberty and without their future generations who will save you from the communist Chinese (who just this week have crossed the border) or the Jihadi in the west. I repeat to you for the umpteenth time the Individual is the one who changes things not delusional, mythical EMPIRES which you can never name.
I am reminded of two old sayings with the Badals affinity for neo fascists: ‘Birds of a feather flock together’ and ‘Always judge a man by the company he keeps’.
Disgraceful Badals can visit RSS representative but failed to visit Bapu Surat Singh – it just shows how so called sikhs are really RSS chamche unerneath……
Certain irony in his security being ‘beefed up’ when his RSS thugs murder others for daring to eat beef as is their religious and secular right.
