HEMKUNT SAHIB, UT, India—Giani Madan Singh, Chief of Sri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust passed away on May 9th following a brief illness.
Giani Ji was 87 years old and has been involved with seva at Sri Hemkunt Sahib since the past 3 decades. Giani Madan Singh became President of the Sri Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust following the death of his father Baba Gurmukh Singh in 1979.
His last rites were consigned to flames at Ramgharia Mortuary in the presence of prominent political, religious, and industrial personnel on May 10.
Local leaders paid farewell to late Giani Madan Singh through speeches after the final rites. S. Ranjodh Singh (President, Ramgharia Education Council), S. Jagtar Singh Bhambra (General Secretary, Ramgharia Education Council), MLA Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Rakesh Pandey, Councillor Jagbir Singh Sokhi, S. Jasbir Singh Ryat (President, Guru Nanak Public School), S. Surinder Singh Ryat (General Secretary, Guru Nanak Public School), Former Councillor Sohan Singh Goga, S. Jaspal Singh, S. Manjit Singh Ubhi and others were present on this occasion.
Giani Madan Singh was originally an industrialist from Ludhiana by profession. He had done tremendous seva for Sri Hemkunt Sahib. He was actively participating in all the activities of the trust and seva at Hemkunt Sahib from time to time.
