Nanak! Those who love the Name of the Divine are known as the highest of all. – Guru Arjan Sahib, Guru Granth Sahib, Page 929

Message: Climb the highest mountain, dive the deepest of oceans, swim through the largest of rivers on earth! Humanity’s never ending list to achieve and be the best in any field is a natural human tendency.

To achieve greatness is a very common human ambition though it is always an uphill task. More so when our love, dedication, commitment and determination are not as strong as they are supposed to be. In order to be successful, many such positive human qualities are needed, including physical strength.

In the same vein, to attain a higher spiritual state of mind we need to cultivate love for the Highest –the Naam, the sum of divine qualities. Only then can we cross the ocean of life successfully and be called winners.

Etymology: Modified from Sanskrit uchch (high, lofty, elevated) → Prakrit uchch → Bengali oochch/oochchaa and Hindi ooṅchch/ooṅchchaa.
