Secretary General of Sikh Council UK, Gurmel Singh said, The Sikh Council UK was established by Sikhs in the UK to lead on developing solutions to issues faced by UK based Sikhs. The Safer Sikhs Partnership is an exemplary example of empowering individuals with skills and expertise to deliver a much needed project that will make a real difference to Sikhs across the UK. This is a significant step forward in recent Sikh history in delivering for our community.
He added, The individuals involved in this project are sevadars that will carry our community forward by delivering to a step change in expectations. Whilst some of the work will be in response to circumstances, most will be proactive to follow an enlightened vision for our community. I wholeheartedly congratulate all those involved and urge all Sikhs in the UK to work with the Safer Sikhs Partnership to safeguard our community.
