CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Following the unrest across the state over desecration row, Chief Minister Parkash Badal earlier today held a secret meeting with SGPC President Avtar Makkar in Chandigarh.
Sikh24 has learned from its sources within the SGPC that the agenda of meeting was to deliberate upon ways to defuse emerging rebellion against the Akali Dal (Badal) across Punjab.
Badal has apparently asked the SGPC President to offer his resignation as his tenure is about to end anyway next year. Sikh24 has learnt that the issue of suspension of ‘Panj Piare’ of Sri Akal Takht Sahib by Makkar was thoroughly discussed in the meeting.
