SAS NAGAR (Mohali), Punjab—Sikh24 has learned that local police raided the home of Bhai RP Singh, head of operations of SOPW and Sikh Relief earlier today at 4:30 AM. He was arrested and we have heard that the police also confiscated his laptop and some other files.
Sikh Relief posted on their Facebook page that homes of some other volunteers were also raided.
Bhai RP Singh has played an eminent role in current day Sikh struggles. Him, along with other SOPW sevadars have been key in helping Sikh political prisoners.
Parminder Singh, another SOPW sevadar in Punjab alleged that Bhai RP Singh was arrested due to his work for the betterment of Sikh political prisoners. He said that the Government does not want Sikhs to be released and will do anything to keep them locked behind bars.
