CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Clash inside the AAP’s Punjab leadership is increasing day by day. Now AAP’s Punjab legal adviser Advocate Himmat Singh Shergill has alleged in a press conference at Chandigarh that Member Parliament Harinder Singh Khalsa is internally attached with Chief Minister Parkash Badal.

Blaming Khalsa of airing internal conflicts among the ranks of AAP in Punjab, Shergill said that offering ticket to him was party’s biggest mistake.

He added that Khalsa contested election some years ago on Akali Dal’s ticket and still is not able to come out of Akali mentality.

Harinder Singh Khalsa was deployed at Norway as a diplomat of India in June 1984 when Indian army had attacked Darbar Sahib Amritsar. He had resigned from the service in protest against Darbar Sahib.  He defeated Sadhu Singh of Indian National Congress with 54144 votes. Khalsa secured 3,67,293 votes.  Sadhu Singh, who secured 3,13,149 votes was followed by Kulwant Singh of Badal Dal with 3,12,815 votes.
