LUDHIANA, Punjab—Following is the translation of the message by Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa, that was delivered on May 10 by Bibi Sarvarinder Kaur to the Sikh Sangat at village Hassanpur in Ludhiana.  Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa re-iterated that he is seeking release of all prisoners who have completed the terms of their sentences, irrespective of their caste and creed.

Guru Piari Sadh Sangat Ji,

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa || Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh||

First of all, I would like to thank all the Panthik Organizations, Sikh Youth, Sangat of India and abroad, Human Rights activists and others who expressed their support in my peaceful struggle for the release of political Sikh prisoners having served their mandatory terms of life imprisonment.

I would also specify here that I am struggling for the release of all the prisoners who have served their mandatory terms of life imprisonment, irrespective of their caste and creed. My struggle is to pertain justice across State. I feel my end is near.

I had tried to live my life following principles of Sikhism, but still I pray to Waheguru to forgive me for any mistake I had committees. I also say sorry to all my social, political, religious and family siblings, for any injustice I had committed with them.

I request the Sikh Sangat residing worldwide to pray for the release of Sikh detainees. May Waheguru bless the Akalis with Sikh spirits, who have pledged to act against the release of political Sikh prisoners.

I had written a letter to Prime Minister of India during initial phase of my struggle. But the attitude of Indian and so called Punjab Government is quite hurting. The governments are trying to get rid of the issue by excusing of Supreme Court’s stay. Supreme Court’s stay is on prisoners convicted with life imprisonment. But releasing the prisoners not convicted with life imprisonment is in hand of state government.

I don’t want to prolong my message. I have completed my Panthik will that will be published after my death.

Indian Constitution is blemished with holocaust of June-1984, Sikh genocide of November-1984. I think the Constitution of India was also burnt during Sikh Genocide of 1984.

At last, I request the whole Sikh Sangat to sustain law and order during the struggle.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa || Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh||
