:dateline:Sri Akal Takht Sahib appointed Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh has decided to honour Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Avtar Makkar with �Shiromani Sewak� award. �
The title will be bestowed to Makkar for playing a key role in providing humanitarian aid to the�victims of natural calamities triggered in Uttrakhand, Jammu and Kashmir.
This decision was taken in meeting of Panj Singh Sahiban at secretariat of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
Giani Gurbachan Singh said the award would be given to the SGPC chief�because of his humanitarian�work.
