Sikh Students Federation (Mehta) Raises Awareness of Sikh Issues in Punjab

LUDHIANA, Punjab—Large number of activists belonging to the Sikh Students Federation (Mehta) today held protests to terminate Article 25 (B) of the Indian Constitution across all districts of Punjab. In Ludhiana, they sent their memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the Deputy Commissioner. The workers were carrying banners depicting the demands of Sikhs.

Paramjit Singh said on this occasion that the “Sikh nation contributed up to 93% of sacrifices made for the freedom of India. But the Indian Government has always assaulted the rights of Sikhs and treated us as second class citizens.” He demanded that the NDA Government should terminate Article 25 (B) of the Indian Constitution and rewrite the Indian Constitution to express the dignity of Sikhs. A delegation of Sikh Students Federation (Mehta) gave a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana, Sri Rajat Aggarwal, about the demands of Sikhs. Deputy Commissioner will forward this memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bhai Major Singh Khalsa (General Secretary, AISSF Mehta),  Bhai Gurwinder Singh Bharti, Bhai Baljit Singh Bita, Bhai Jaspal Singh Islam Ganj, Bhai Gagandeep Singh, Bhai Maninderpal Singh Sonu, Bhai Gurpreet Singh Luhara, Bhai Gurpreet Singh Gopi etc. were present on this occasion.
