ANANDPUR SAHIB, Punjab—Advisory Committee organized by the president of SGPC in regards to celebrating the 350th establishment anniversary of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib today held a meeting at Mata Nanki Niwas under leadership of Giani Mal Singh (Jathedar, Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib). It is notable that Giani Mal Singh is also appointed as a President of this Advisory Committee.
The panel of Sikh intellectuals discussed the seminars to be held about this historical day across Punjab. Some of them also suggested organizing seminars about this historical anniversary in different cities of Himachal Pradesh as well. The panel decided to organize a Sikh Youth Festival of 37 Colleges of SGPC to motivate the students about Sikhism.
A sub-committee also discussed the service of ‘langar’ during these historical days. Sant Baba Labh Singh Ji, Baba Avtar Singh Ji Tibbi Sahib Wale, Baba Kashmir Singh Ji Bhuri Wale, Baba Naagar Singh Ji Hariaan Welaan, Baba Balbir Singh Ji Budha Dal etc. participated in this meeting to get their share of sewa of ‘langar’. All of these chiefs announced to impart infinite langar (free food) during the days of this anniversary.
The Advisory Committee announced to release coins of gold and silver on this historical occasion. Dr. Gurmohan Singh Walia (Vice Chancellor, Sri Guru Granth Sahib University), Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha (Director Education, SGPC), Dr. Balwant Singh, Dr. Inderjit Singh Gogoani, Dr. Amarjit Singh, Bhai Amarjit Singh Chawla(Member, SGPC), Principal Surinder Singh, Bhai Diljit Singh Bhinder (Member, SGPC), S. Dalmegh Singh (Secretary, SGPC), Bhai Balwinder Singh Jaura (Additional Secretary), Bhai Jagir Singh (Vice Secretary), Bhai Sukhwinder Singh (Manager, Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib), Bhai Ranbir Singh (Additional Manager), Bhai Amandeep Singh, Bhai Lakhwinder Singh, Bhai Amrik Singh, Bhai Darshan Singh etc. were present during this meeting.
