:dateline:The Punjab & Haryana High Court has granted bail to Baba Balbir Singh Lambejatpura. The legal team appointed by Sikh Relief consisted of P S Brar and Rajvinder Singh Bains.
Last year, in July 2014, a Ludhiana Sessions Court had sentenced three Gursikhs to five years each in prison; Balbir Singh Lambejatpura, Kuljit Singh �Kanta� and Bhag Singh, who were falsely accused and charged under the Arms & Explosives Act in a case registered against them dating September 2009.
Sikh Relief, together with the Sangat, have stood by Balbir Singh and his family through the difficult ordeal they are facing. We have supported Balbir Singh’s wife, Gursharan Kaur and young daughter, Japsimran Kaur by financing the family’s welfare costs as well as paying for Balbir Singh�s legal fees.
