AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—State President of ISO and Jail Department member Kanwarbir Singh (Amritsar) reacted over the writing of a letter to Prime Minister Narinder Modi by SGPC President, saying that the SGPC President should have a meeting with the Prime Minister to ensure the permanent release of Sikh prisoners. He said that now is not the time of correspondence, instead the President should visit the Prime Minister with his team. He said that now Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa is in a very critical condition, so the President of SGPC should immediately visit the Prime Minister. He said that the President can take the help of the Punjab Government in this issue.
S. Kanwarbir Singh said that instead of the strict order from Sri Akal Takht Sahib, President Avtar Singh Makkar has only started the correspondence with the Indian Prime Minister. He said that the whole world is watching this incident very carefully, so the leaders of the Sikh community should express their unity and dedication for sorting out such sensitive issues.
