NEW DELHI—Canadian MP Chris Alexander paid homage at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib in New Delhi yesterday. He was accompanied by a high-level delegation team and was welcomed by members of the Delhi Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee.
Manjit Singh GK, General Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa, along with Paramjit Singh Rana honoured the visiting delegation and presented them with a set of books on the Sikh history and religion.
MP Alexander mentioned the great contributions of Sikhs and Punjabis to Canada. He shared plans of a starting a new visa policy that would make it easier for Punjabis to get Canadian visas. The new policy would provide visas in all categories including work, education, business, and leisure.
Manjit Singh GK appreciated the visit by MP Alexander and the delegation also partook in langar as well.
Mr. Chris Alexander is the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration of Canada, and is currently visiting India.
