In a press release, Mann said, “The sudden death of Shiromani Ragi  Bhai Amrik Singh Zakhmi has caused great and unbearable loss for the Khalsa Panth that would never be compensated. He has performed Kirtan based on Ragas as taught in Guru Granth Sahib. Through his traditional Kirtan style, he not only explored Sikhism in India, but abroad also.”

“He is spiritually attached with Gurbani Kirtan and qualities like politeness, humbleness, love of ‘Seva,’ and helping the needy were an essential part of his personality. I took many chances to enjoy his kirtan. The spiritual attraction in his Kirtan has had a great impact on my mind even today,” he added
