PATIALA, Punjab—Former President of Sikh Students Federation and Shiromani Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani) Leader Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu was released from Maximum security Jail Nabha (Distt. Patiala) on November 1, 2013.
Bhai Daljit Singh was granted bail by Punjab and Haryana High Court on October 28, 2013 and in pursuant to High Court orders Bhai Daljit Singh was released from Nabha Jail. He was arrested on September 20, 2012 on under so-called preventive measures (107/51) but during his custody he was booked under notorious law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Sikh leaders of various Panthik Jathebandis welcomed the released of Bhai Bittu. Â His release has come on the day of Bandi Chhor Divas when Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji had freed 52 Kings from the Gwalior Fort.
