Shiv Sena Terrorists try to Interfere in Azaadi March; Tensions Prevail in Jalandhar

JALANDHAR, Punjab—Tensions prevailed in Jalandhar when members of the terrorist Shiv Sena organization tried to interfere in the Azaadi March preperations.  The Shiv Saniks tried to remove a large banner of the Azaadi March being carried out by Dal Khalsa and Shiromani Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani) to commemorate the 29th anniversary of the Sikh Genocide.

The move by Shiv Sena was foiled as Sikhs in large numbers had gathered to show their support for the procession.  Organizers of the Azaadi March alleged that Shiv Sena is trying to disturb peace in the State of Punjab by interfering in Sikh matters.

The Azaadi March is set to take place on November 1 and Sikhs from all over Punjab are expected to take part in it.  The organizers appealed to the Police to take necessary action and punish the offenders who tried to take down the banners advertising the programs.  They alleged that anyone having issues with the banners should take up the issue with local police.

The idea behind the march is to salute the lives of Sikh martyrs and seek the release of thousands of innocent Sikhs lodged behind bars throughout Punjab and India.  As per an earlier statement by Kanwarpal Singh of Dal Khalsa, the 29th anniversary of Sikh Genocide will be remembered worldwide.   Dal Khalsa has appealed to Akal Takht Sahib to take part in the programs.
