—All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) deliberated with film actor Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt on the sacrilegious comments in their new movie Son of Sardar.
AISSF objected over some dialogues in the movie which represents the Sikhs in bad light, AISSF president Karnail Singh “Peer Mohammad” said that film actors are role models for the people and likewise movies are the mirror of society. Mostly whatever children watch in movies is being followed by the naive kids as well as elders. The movie shows Sikhs as the character for making jokes and the procurer of foul language.
Furthermore the AISSF president praied actor Ajay Devgan for the work he has done in his previous movies. He said that Ajay Devgan had accent many social issues in the past through his movies which is admirable. Thence now also there is no need to use such jeering remarks for the promotion of a movie which will hurt the sentiments of the community and young children in particular who will become the subject of harassment due to this kind of pictorial of Sikhs because the repercussions followed our severe for the youth.
AISSF president Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad informed the media that they have discussed matter in hand with Ajay Devgan who is the lead actor in the movie and as well as the producer and they have agreed to remove the contentious matter from the movie immediately. AISSF president said that he will now report the merits and demerits of the movie to the Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Singh Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singh ji and the ultimate decision is in his hand because he is the top temporal of the Sikh community.
