Harmandir Sahib Portrait Installed at Amritsar’s Airport

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—A large sized portrait of Sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib at Sri Guru Ram Dass Ji Internation Airport of Amritsar was unveiled by the SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar on April 19. The portrait has been sponsored by a Sikh devotee S. Prabhjot Singh who is a businessman in Real Estate. The Airport authorities have installed this portrait on wall opposite to the Immigration counter.

Interacting with media on this occasion, Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar said that with the help airport authorities, a gallery will also be established which will contain historical representation of history of central Sikh shrine Sri Harmandir Sahib and its founder Sri Guru Ram Dass Ji.

Family members of S. Prabhjot Singh and the Airport officials were honoured by the SGPC officials on this occasion.

Prominent among the present SGPC officials on this occasion were Amarjit Singh Chawla (SGPC’s General Secretary), SGPC’s executive committee member Bhai Ram Singh, Bhai Surjit Singh Bhittewind, SGPC member Bibi Kiranjot Kaur, Bhai Harjap Singh Sultanwind, Director of Airport Sri V.V Rao, Airport’s Commercial Incharge Sri Naveen Kumar Sagar, Airport’s Chief Security Officer Sri K.K Shakun etc.
