Delhi Sikh Sangat marks 300th martyrdom anniversary of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur

NEW DELHI—Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee has inaugurated a series of programs in commemoration of 300th martyrdom anniversary of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur.  Majority of these programs will take place at Gurdwara Raqab Ganj Sahib.

Earlier this week, Vice Chancellor of Punjabi University Dr. Jaspal Singh threw light on the spiritual and life values of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur at the inauguration program. He declared Baba Banda Singh Bahadur a brave soldier and great Sikh. Dr. Jaspal Singh said that Sikh students need to work hard to highlight the hidden aspects of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur’s life.

President of DSGMC, Manjit Singh GK also spoke about the personality of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur with the Sikh sangat. General Secretary of DSGMC, Manjinder Singh Sirsa appealed the Sikh masses to unite on a common platform to save Sikh history.

Giani Iqbal Singh Patna Sahib, Giani Jagtar Singh (Head Granthi, Sri Darbar Sahib), Nihang Baba Balbir Singh, Baba Lakha Singh, Baba Bachan Singh, Ghulam Haider Kadri also addressed the present Sikh sangat.

 

Chairman of Dharam Parchaar Committee Paramjit Singh Rana, Member Jatinderpal Singh Goldy, Ravel Singh, Paramjit Singh Chandok and other member were also present on this occasion.
