Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala Visits Simranjit Singh Mann at PGI

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Sikh Jatha headed by chief of Damdami Taksal (Ajnala) Bhai Amrik Singh today met S. Simranjit Singh Mann at cardiac centre of PGIMER in Chandigarh. The jatha inquired about the health of S. Mann and wished for his Chardi Kala.

Mann and Bhai Ajnala talked about uniting all Panthik organizations on a common platform in support of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa to ensure the permanent release of Sikh political prisoners. It is notable that Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa is on hunger strike since January 16, 2015.  Growing support for Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa forced the Government to recommend the transfer of Prof. Devinderpal Singh Bhullar and Bhai Gurdeep Singh Khera to Punjab.

Both leaders also discussed the upcoming SGPC elections next year.

General Secretary of Sikh Youth Front S. Papalpreet Singh, who was also present during the meeting, said that collaboration of two Panthik leaders will definitely benefit the Sikh community in tackling anti-Sikhism attacks. He wished for the unity of all Panthik organizations on a common platform for the chardi kala of Sikh Nation.  

Dr. Sharnjit Singh Rataul (President, Sikh Youth Front), Bhai Navdeep Singh (SADA), Bhai Dilbagh Singh Nagoke, Bhai Sukhdev Singh Nagoke were also accompanying Bhai Ajnala.
