Manjit Singh Kalkatta on the Suspension of Jathedar Nandgarh

He said that RSS has deteriorated the distinctiveness of Shiromani Akali Dal by aligning it with BJP. Now, the new target of RSS is to terminate the SGPC for which it is working through Sant Samaj. He said that those members that can never lead the Sikh community get elected by getting a ticket from BJP allied Akali Dal and by getting votes of malicious Sikhs.

Kalkatta appealed to all the Sikh intellectuals, lawyers, and devotees to come forward to stop SGPC from taking wrong actions. He said that the case between Sehajdhari Federation and the Government is still in the Supreme Court, so the SGPC shouldn’t raise any legal issue by taking unlawful action.  Manjit Singh Kalkatta said that in 2011, Sehajdhari Federation filed a petition in Punjab & Haryana High Court to get the right of vote in SGPC election.
