CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Meeting of core Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) members was held today under the aegis of its President, Sukhbir Badal, during which the party leaders expressed worry over the party performance in Lok Sabha elections. To analyze the result, SAD has constituted a three member committee.
This committee has been asked to submit its report to the High Command for further necessary action.
As per sources, the committee will comprise Jathedar Tota Singh, Jathedar Sewa Singh Sekhwan and Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal.
The meeting lasted for two hours in which the core committee members deliberated upon performance of the party in Lok Sabha elections, especially the fact about decrease in vote share, as compared to Assembly elections 2012. Rise of Aam Aadmi Party was also discussed at depth in the meeting.
