Sexual Grooming of 16 year-old: Five Charged

Leicester, UK – On Monday January 21st, five Pakistani origin Muslim men appeared in court charged with 21 sexual offences following a police investigation into the sexual grooming and exploitation of a 16-year-old Sikh girl.

Leicester Magistrates’ Court

A total of 22 charges have been brought against the group of Pakistani men, aged 20, 22, 25, 27 and 39. The five accused appeared at Leicester Magistrates Court charged with sex offences.

A 15-year-old boy who was questioned by police has been released on bail.

The charges and police investigation follows after over a week ago a Pakistani group of men were accused of sexually grooming a Sikh girl on Facebook and an incident took place at the Moghul Darbar Restaurant on East Park Road, Leicester.

The charges include: trafficking for sexual exploitation; arranging or facilitating prostitution; controlling a child involved in prostitution; inciting child prostitution and paying for sexual services.

No pleas were entered during Monday’s hearing, at Leicester Magistrates’ Court, but it was decided the charges were so serious that the case could only be dealt by a crown court judge.

The group of Pakistani Muslim origin men, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, will appear at the court again on 29 January.

  1. When will mainstream media like Sky News and BBC be brave enough to actually highlight how Pakistani Muslim gangs across UK are operating sexual grooming groups. It is disheartening that when they label such people as “asians” in fear of upsetting the Pakistani Muslim community.
