Sikh victim in Hit and Run – Surrey Police Looking for Witnesses

Police in Surrey, B.C., are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver in a hit and run accident Saturday night.

Just after 8 p.m. PT a man in his 40s was leaf blowing at the back of the Gurdwara Sahib Dasmesh Darbar Sikh temple, at 86th Avenue and 130th Street.

Police say it appears the man stepped out into the road and was struck by a car. The driver of the car fled the scene.

The man was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital with severe injuries.

The car may be red in colour with significant front-end damage.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Surrey RCMP.
