179th Death Anniversary: Religious Program Held at Sri Harmandir Sahib

AMRITSAR SAHIB—The 179th Death Anniversary of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh was observed by the SGPC today at Gurdwara Diwan Hall Manji Sahib. Following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, the Raagi Jatha of Bhai Sandeep Singh delighted the devotees with melodious Kirtan and Bhai Sultan Singh performed Ardas on this occasion.

Kathavachak Bhai Harmittar Singh apprised the present devotees about the life of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh. He said that Maharaja Ranjit Singh established the Sikh empire with his great vision and intellect. He further said that every citizen of Sikh empire had full liberty to enjoy their religious beliefs during Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s tenure.
