2017 Assembly Polls: Kejriwal Takes On Badal For Plight Of Farmers In Punjab

LUDHIANA, Punjab—To resolve internal issues within the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab, its National convener and Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, arrived in Punjab on September 8. It is Kejriwal’s first visit to Punjab after the state convener Sucha Singh AAP newChhotepur was insulted for the allegations of receiving money by promising a ticket allotment for the 2017’s assembly polls.

Addressing the media in village Jhande of Ludhiana district, Kejriwal took on the ruling Akali Dal for the plight of the farmers in Punjab. He said that the farmers of Punjab used to be the happiest farmers but unfortunately the policies of the ruling Akali Dal have compelled them to commit suicides. He claimed that the AAP had a blueprint to make the famers debt-free until the end of 2018 if the Punjab masses bring the AAP into power. Notably, Kejriwal is going to unveil the AAP’s manifesto for farmers on September 11 at Baghapurana near Moga.

Disagreeing with Badal for stooping to the lowest parameters to defame the AAP in Punjab, Kejriwal alleged that sources informed him that Sukhbir Badal hired a company to prepare fake CD’s against the AAP leaders. He claimed that the Akali Dal had 63 fake CD’s of his leaders that will be displayed on the PTC Channel during the election days.
