Pained over the terrorist attack, Giani Gurbachan Singh in a press statement issued earlier today sought strict punishment for the culprits responsible for attack. He said Sikhs are peace loving people who do not discriminate with others based on their color or religion. “Our Gurdwaras are open for entire humanity and service is performed for the well-being of others. It is really painful that someone would target a Sikh place of worship,” he stated in the press note.
SGPC President Avtar Makkar also condemned the incident in Germany and asked the police to nab the suspects at once. He said that Sikhs living worldwide have been disturbed by the attack. “Sikhs pray for well being of the entire humanity three times a day at all Gurdwaras. Wherever the Sikhs have migrated to, they have worked with great honesty and pride,” he said.
The blast at the Gurdwara Sahib in Essen yesterday left three persons injured.
